Leader: Paul Forde Meet Location: Minet's Point Park parking lot Start Time: 8:00 a.m. End Time: 11:30 a.m. Registration: Not required Accessibility: Mostly flat trails, boardwalk, with some gentle hills at some locations. Details: The Barrie waterfront often hosts impressive numbers of migrating waterfowl and occasionally rare species such as Little, Iceland, and Glaucous Gulls. Grebes, Long-tailed Ducks, Red-throated Loons, Pacific Loons, and thousands of Common Loons are possible, along with raptors including Bald Eagles and Peregrine Falcons. A spotting scope is helpful but not essential. We will drive to two additional locations along the South shore.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
