Peter Mills – Turtles are among Ontario's most charismatic and recognizable animals, and are also in trouble. In fact, all eight of Ontario's native turtles have been recommended for species-at-risk status. What are these species? How did these organisms, successful for millions of years, find themselves in their current predicament? What is being done to halt and reverse these declines? Join Peter Mills to discover the answers to these questions, and explore what is in the forecast for Ontario's turtles in the years ahead.

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
