A NIGHT WITH WHIPPOORWILLS Alex Mills 647-208-3935 Hearing the Whippoorwill in Ontario evokes fond memories of warm moonlit nights with fireflies, campfires, and mosquitoes. The campfires and the mosquitoes are still with us but fireflies and Whippoorwills have become far less common than before. Alex Mills has invited club members to join him for an evening with the Caprimulgids. He will be attempting to recover a GPS tag from a bird captured during the spring of 2017. This outing will be restricted to the first 12 people who register with Alex after May 12th 2018 (647-208-3935). Location, time and starting place to be determined.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
