Simcoe County has a diverse natural history partly because of its many landscapes. At Matchedash, north meets south, and a massive wetland also contributes to the diversity of things to see. Celebrate spring at Matchedash Bay, looking for waterfowl and other wetland birds, and songbirds. Wear solid waterproof footwear; sunscreen and bug repellent recommended.

PLEASE NOTE ALTERNATE MEETING SITE: Commuter parking lot at intersection of exit 137, Highway 400, to Coldwater, and Highway 12, 8:00 a.m. Pack a lunch & drinks. Moderate to heavy walking. Ends 3- 4:00 pm.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
