SATURDAY December 20, 2014 (meet at 6 p.m. for dinner at 6:30 p.m.): Christmas Bird Count Potluck Coordinator – Chris Evans (705) 722-1136 Groups assemble independently. Participants must register no later than Dec 11th with Chris Evans who will assign people (both beginners and experts) amongst the 9 groups each with a leader. Teams of birders will survey a section within a 7.5-mile radius of Barrie and record individual numbers and species of birds. Novice and new birders are teamed with experienced members - a great way to get an introduction to winter birds and have fun. Feeder watchers count birds visiting their feeders on the count day A potluck supper for all counters and Club members will be held at the church to end the day and present the results to the membership. Meeting starts at 18:00, meal will commence at 18:30

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. Check our Facebook page for any last minute changes or check with the trip leader or Jim Coey NB trip coordinator

MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
