DESCRIPTION:This small but beautiful conservation area on the shore line of ancient Lak
 e Algonquin is a nature lover’s paradise\nIt is home to many species of bir
 ds and other fauna. Fall is an especially beautiful time of year in this oa
 sis of woodland and wetland with colours starting to change and the fall mi
 gration is in full swing. It boasts a small pond and riparian habitat.\nThi
 s walk is on well maintained park trails but some are on very steep hills. 
 Down and up! People must be able to navigate this terrain. It is a few kilo
 metres around the path.\nNote: There are no washrooms along the trail and a
 t a minimum this walk will take two full hours there and back. There are ou
 thouses at the parking lot entrance. Wear good reliable hiking footwear and
  possibly a hiking pole for the hills.\nIf it’s pouring rain at the GO stat
 ion, we may cancel. If you wish to attend, it will be important to send me 
 your cell number beforehand. \nDrive is about 20 minutes to Scanlon Creek s
 outh on Yonge Street.. Parking at Scanlon Creek is $6 per car. \nDress for 
 fall weather. Bring your own snacks and drinks. No dogs.\nKeep an eye also
