 ve to Walnut Cres.)\n\nMeet at Little Lake Park at 7.30am and car pool to s
 outh end of Barrie or meet Paul on Walnut Crescent (in the south end of Bar
 rie) – at the trail entrance to start the walk at 8:00am. We’ll be walking 
 along partially wooded lowland to upper wooded forests and then down into t
 he lower woods where we walk alongside the striking Hewitt Creek as it fina
 lizes it’s run into Lake Simcoe. Each way takes about an hour or so.\n \nWe
 ’ll be looking for Indigo Buntings, Red-Tailed Hawks, Cooper’s Hawks, Cedar
  Waxwings, Red Breasted Nuthatches, Downy, Hairy and maybe Pileated Woodpec
 kers, and different types of Sparrows.  We may find Green and Blue Herons, 
 Kingfishers and waterfowl along the lake shore line. \n\nNote: There are no
  washrooms along the trail and at a minimum it takes two full hours there a
 nd back.   Easy to moderate walking with a couple of steep hills. Snack and
  water.\n
