We kick off the 2013/2014 season by hosting the joint meeting with other area clubs. Peter Mills, Interpretive Naturalist at Algonquin Park for 6 years, will be our speaker for the evening. He will share his lifelong passion through a virtual tour of reptiles and amphibians throughout the year. Highlights include: a video of breeding amphibians; pictures of a still-living, frozen-solid wood frog; and pictures and anecdotes of Peter's adventures. If you have ever wondered how to safely move a snapping turtle across the road, don't miss this talk.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
