Chimney Swifts return to Barrie each spring from their winter range in the Andes, with the intention of nesting in suitable chimneys. Like many “aerial insectivores” Chimney Swifts have seriously declined in Canada, and our club has undertaken a monitoring role in town. Join Inga for an hour’s worth of evening surveying, as the birds select roosts for the night.

Location Meet at parking lot SW corner of Mulcaster and Collier in Barrie.

TRIPS

A number of BFNC members have volunteered their time and expertise to bring you a great outdoor trip program. As usual we have some old favourites and some really exciting new ones. Although birds are a focus there will be something for every interest. Please join them in exploring the natural history of Simcoe county. MEETINGS

All regular meetings are held at Northwest Barrie United Church, 464 Ferndale Drive North, Barrie and start at 7:00pm.. Meetings are held in the Westennial Hall at the back of the church. Park in the big lot off Horsfield Drive..
